MANZINI – A nurse from Herefords Clinic survived a horrific episode after being attacked by a pack of dogs suspected to be around 16 in number, on her way to work.

Information gathered is that the dogs are kept close to the clinic and are known for their viciousness. She explained that she was not the only one who was subjected to the dog’s attacks but the others managed to escape.  She was initially reluctant to talk about the traumatic incident and refused to be named.

“Some say I was attacked by 16 dogs, others say they were 20 but I really can not recall because I did not even see how many they were, all I know is that it was a pack of dogs,” she said.
She explained that she was on her way to work from church in the morning when she was attacked by the dogs. She alleged that their owner had taken a kombi from the station, which was also right by the clinic.

She added that the dogs had followed the owner but did not go back home after he had left.
“They normally follow him when he leaves but he always manages to order them to return home. This time I do not know what happened. There were a number of people at the station already as it was the morning hours. The dogs started attacking them but they escaped and some were able to chase them away with whatever they were carrying,” she related.

She further added they forced her to the ground and bit her on the back and on her arms as she rolled on the ground.
Just as she was fighting to gain her freedom from the canines, a car drove in her direction and the driver alighted and started shouting at the dogs and assisted her.
