MBABANE – Two case women are on the police wanted list for alleged theft they committed.

The first woman, whose name is not known, is said to have taken a purse belonging to a 71- year- old woman while inside a bank.
The purse had E5 000 inside.

The woman did not know that the CCTV cameras captured her while she took the purse and the picture was sent to the police.
According to the police, the unknown woman stood next to the old woman who was filling in bank forms inside the bank and took her purse.
The elderly woman only realised after the woman had left that her purse, which had the money inside, was missing.

The cameras had to be played to identify the culprit. The incident happened in one of the prominent banks in the capital city.
Police Deputy Information and Communications Officer Assistant Superintendent Phindile Vilakati confirmed that they were looking for the woman, whose name they did not know yet.

Cynthia Hlophe (35) is the other woman who is wanted by the police for an alleged theft of E26 000 from her employer, Fusha Motors in Mbabane, where she was an accountant.

Her case was reported in December last year by her former employers and the police have not been able to make an arrest as her place of residence is not known.

Hlophe is said to have stolen the money on different days which then amounted to E26 000.
She was investigated internally and when she was supposed to appear for a disciplinary hearing she never showed up at work.
