DURBAN, SOUTH AFRICA – Bishop Khanyakwezwe Vilakati of the The Red Gown Sect has read the riot act to his church members who speak badly about the church and its headquarters.

The bishop did this during his church’s cleansing ceremony, which was held at Windsor Park Golf Course in Durban, South Africa over the weekend.

He said those who go around speaking bad things about the church and its headquarters without consulting the elders of the church would face God’s wrath at the end as they would be asked about it at the end of their lives.

He said they had realised that some people did as they pleased at the church and the worse thing was that they spoke badly about the church without consulting with the elders and senior pastors.  He asked the church members to go to the church elders for clarification if they needed that instead of going around giving the nation a wrong perception of the church.

He said there were a number of clean pastors who were being wrongly perceived by the nation because of such people.
“Go to the church elders and ask for the truth instead of tarnishing the name of the church because that will catch up with you sooner or later,” the bishop said.

He said there were people who did not know about the church and they were keen to learn more about it and if some of the church members spoke things without consulting the elders of the church, the people would get a wrong perception about the church.
The bishop said the elders of the church, including senior priests always answered their mobile phones and they were never too busy to attend to issues which involved the church.

He said church members were free to call them or make an appointment if they needed clarification on certain matters.
Vilakati said those who spoke badly about both the church and the headquarters should know that they were wasting their time and at the end they would feel the wrath of the Lord.
