I CAN’T PREACH WITH FEET ON THE GROUND - PASTOR
MBABANE – A Tanzanian pastor has allegedly told his congregants that he cannot preach while his feet are on the ground.
Pictures of the pastor during a sermon have also emerged and shared on social networks.
Media reports allege that the pastor, who has not been named, claims that his anointing will leave him when his feet touch the ground.
The pictures show him being carried around on people’s backs and also show him stepping on their backs while they kneel.
Recently, pastors and prophets, including those from Swaziland, have been in the spotlight for performing miracles including making people eat grass and drink petrol.
A South African prophet also made his congregants eat a live snake and weaves.
He also stepped on his congregants as he preached.
Bishop Samson Hlatjwako, of the League of Churches, said this was demonic. He said what the pastor was doing was ridiculous.
He said it pained him that these acts were killing the gospel of God. “We have seen such acts in the country and elsewhere, it is ridiculous,” he said.
Hlatjwako said the pastor’s demons instructed him not to stand on the floor while preaching. He wondered if the people who carried him heard anything during the sermon.
“What do they hear or feel instead of the pain of someone standing on top of you?” Hlatjwako wondered.
He also wondered what the pastors used on his congregants for them to allow such to happen. He said he had read in newspapers of a traditional healer claiming to give power to pastors.
