MBABANE –   Two of Minister Winnie Magagula’s daughters have been hit with a E2.5 million defamation suit.

Delisile and Nomcebo Magagula are being sued by Jane Zeeman of Ezulwini after they allegedly insulted her on Facebook.
Delisisle, who is employed by the Swaziland Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (SPTC), and her sister, are further alleged to have threatened Zeeman with death.

In her particulars of claim, Zeeman stated that at all material times, the two were her Facebooks friends whom she had since blocked after she was compelled to seek a peace binding order against them.

She alleged that on August 21, 2015, she posted an inspirational quote on her Facebook page.
The inspiration quote that was posted by Zeeman has been attached to the court papers and it reads: ‘Just because some people are fuelled by drama doesn’t mean you have to attend the performance’.

She informed the court that on August 22, 2015 Nomcebo posted a reply on her Facebook wall where she stated: ‘People need to stick to their lanes and further, that maintenance needs to be done to some of those lanes’ (sic).

Some of the comments contained in the court papers cannot be repeated because of their derogatory nature.  Zeeman further submitted that pursuant to the messages, on August 22, 2015 she received a call on her cellphone wherein Nomcebo allegedly threatened to come to her (Zeeman) place of employment at Uniglobe Seylan Travel Tours to beat her up and also threatened to kill her.

These are allegations contained in an affidavit whose veracity is still to be tested in court and the defendants (minister’s daughters) are yet to file their responding papers.
