SPORTS UNITE PEOPLE – MINISTER ‘CRUISER’

NKWENE – Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala says sports unite people.


He was addressing the 24 Premier League of Swaziland (PLS) teams and the people from Nkwene Constituency during the launch of the Swazi Telecom Charity Cup Community projects. Ngcamphalala said the presence of the football family at Nkwene Inkhundla would change the people’s mindsets towards sports for the better.


He said the people were happy to receive help through the Swaziland Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (SPTC), through football.
“Sports and culture unite people. Today all the 24 teams are here to help the community in their Lihle Lemaswati Foundation preschool, garden and soup kitchen projects. I would like to thank all the teams for the support they have shown,” he said.


Present during the launch were Lihle Lemaswati Foundation patron Prince Lindani, Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Paul Dlamini, Minister Winnie Magagula, Lubombo Regional Administrator Sylvia Mthethwa and Nkwene MP Sikhumbuzo Dlamini.


SPTC Managing Director Petros Dlamini thanked all the teams that attended the community project. The 12 Premier League of Swaziland teams namely; Royal Leopard, Mbabane Swallows, Young Buffaloes, Green Mamba, Mbabane Highlanders, Manzini Sundowns, Manzini Wanderers, Manzini Sea Birds, Malanti Chiefs, Midas City, Bad Boys and Red Lions will all visit different communities around the country to do their projects. The 12 National First Division teams will all attend their community project together in a date yet to be announced.
The community projects are expected to start this weekend.
