MATSAPHA – Sabelo Mavuso, a businessman and founder of Phumelele High School, donated a car, each, to the head teacher as well as the school’s accountant.

The presentation of the cars was done after a brief ceremony on Friday.
Phumelele High is one of the private schools founded by Mavuso who also owns another in Mozambique.

Mavuso presented the vehicles, a Mercedez Benz sedan and a VW golf.
The Mercedez was presented to the Head teacher, Bonginkosi Dlamini, while the VW Golf was driven away by the school’s accountant Bhekinkosi Dlamini.

Mavuso, who is also the school’s director, said he decided to reward the two because of their hard work.
“The head teacher’s hard work has resulted in the school’s results improving year after year,” said Mavuso before presenting the cars.
Also present during the presentation was former Minister of Labour and Social Security Lutfo Dlamini.

Speaking at the event, the former minister, who is now the chairman of the Swaziland Arts and Music Association (SWAMA) commended Mavuso for the gesture.
He described Mavusio as a wise man.

Dlamini said in the past, it had been known that private schools were often owned by foreign nationals.
He said this was no longer the case as Mavuso is a Swazi who founded the private school.
