NHLANGANO – Local pastors have reacted with rage following that a number of female congregants go to their churches wearing miniskirts and exposed their thighs and private parts during sermons!

This has been revealed by a number of local pastors in an exclusive interview.
This means that the women’s dress code leaves the pastors uncomfortable.  This does not mean that non-Christians cannot go to church wearing a miniskirt.

There are mixed feelings regarding the dress code of women wearing miniskirts during church services and revealing clothes by Christians in some churches in the country.
The miniskirts are also worn by some teachers in some schools. Other pastors have claimed that the miniskirt wearing congregants disturb them by showing their thighs. It is believed that some congregants have worn miniskirts with the purpose of enticing some of the men of the cloth, a conduct which has been described by some pastors as devilish.

In I Corinthians 6:20, the Bible says, “For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” We serve God with our body as well as our spirit and this includes the way we dress.
It seems wherever one goes, people are interested in Christians and clothing, particularly whether a woman should wear pants. The Bible, as in every area of our life, gives us guidance in this area as well.

The Bible does not contain a formal dress code, but gives principles of dress that let us make judgments and ‘test what is best’ (Phil 1:9,10). (1) maintain the male-female distinction; (2) consider the effect our clothing has on our influence; (3) make sure our clothing does not ‘offend’ anyone, and; (4) be sure our clothing is modest in God’s sight.
