MATSAMO – Members of the public were treated to a spectacle when two female market vendors stripped a car wash owner off his clothes and assaulted him on his private parts.

The incident occurred in the evening hours of last Sunday evening at Matsamo, just adjacent to the Matsamo Market.
It is alleged that it was after the car wash owner had insulted the two vendors, who got irate and assaulted him.
According to information from a close source, the car wash owner had first insulted the women while drinking alcohol at Nsingizini barracks the previous day.

The source said on Sunday, the businessman came to the market place in a questionable state of sobriety and started insulting the women.
“Upon reaching the market place, he started shouting insults to the two ladies.

“At first they didn’t react but as he continued with his expletives, they started exchanging heated words with him,” said the source.
It is said that the businessman continued hurling insults at the vendors and this resulted in a strong and violent reaction from them, who were now ready to pounce on him.

Eventually, one of the vendors slapped the businessman with an open hand across the face.
While attempting to retaliate, the other vendor joined in, marking the start of the fight.
People who were aboard kombis alighted and went close to witness the man being assaulted by the women.
Other vendors also came out of the market stalls and watched the fight.
