CJ RAISING HIMSELF ABOVE THE KING – BISHOP

MBABANE – Bishop Samson Hlatjwako, the President of the League of African Churches, said Chief Justice (CJ) Michael Ramodibedi was indirectly placing himself above the King.

Hlatjwako said the continued defiance by Ramodibedi, despite being told to comply by a representative of the King, could be construed to mean he positioned himself above the King.
Last Thursday, Peter Mamba, who is a member of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), went to the CJ’s residence to deliver a message from the King.

He had gone to the residence to ask the CJ to comply with the law.
Despite the importance of the message, Ramodibedi still refused to comply and refused to hand himself over to the police and, instead, continued to lock himself in his house.

The CJ has continued to lock himself in his house as a way of resisting arrest for charges he is facing.
This has made it difficult for the police to serve him with a warrant of arrest.

Ramodibedi is facing charges which include abuse of power, defeating the ends of justice and conflict of interest, which emanates from the way in which a matter between himself and the Swaziland Revenue Authority (SRA) was handled.
Hlatjwako said the CJ should not have disobeyed the message from the King as His Majesty was the final authority. “This is very scary because it means he will not listen to anyone,” said Hlatjwako.

He said the CJ should not have gone to South Africa when he was told that he was wanted by Labadzala.
On April 15, 2015, the CJ travelled to SA despite reports that he had been summoned by Labadzala.

Hlatjwako said it was strange that several people had tried to convince Ramodibedi to surrender but he still remains locked in his house.
“What kind of person does not listen even to people from his country?” wondered Bishop Hlatjwako.

When asked if representatives from the League of African Churches had gone to ask the CJ to surrender himself to the police, Hlatjwako quickly responded that they had not done so.
He said the CJ refused to listen to government officials and wondered whether he would listen to church representatives.

How many people are going to Hospital Hill to remind the Prime Minister of the CJ's diplomatic rights & immunity ?. Maybe that should be the first thing to be done after which the CJ will open his doors and leave the country. Swazi politics stink !!!!!

The CJ crook should go and rot in jail. His Lesotho PM has also given up on him. He should go and enjoy the same place he has found joy in his heart by unfairly sending others to rot.

Zondo, Ramodibedi is not a Lesotho diplomat. He is just a mosotho man working in a foreign country. He has not been sent to Swaziland by Lesotho govt but is just a man providing for his family. Therefore he has no "diplomatic Immunity"
