STADIUM TO BE BUILT AT BUHLENI – KING

BUHLENI – Eradication of poverty, job creation, quality health and education are the categories that illustrate the accomplishment of First World status for the country.

His Majesty defined this during the celebration of his 47th Birthday held at Buhleni Royal Residence on Sunday when he addressed the nation.
The King’s special guests during the celebrations were the King of the Tembe nation, Umdlunkulu of KwaZulu Princess Mantfombi and the Republic of China on Taiwan Minister of Foreign Affairs David Lin, as well as members of the diplomatic Corps.

His Majesty reminded the masses present at Buhleni about the national vision to attain the First World status by 2022.
He mentioned that the indicators that the country was reaching this national vision were most important. “How do we reach this target?” he questioned the throngs in the arena.

He said in order to achieve Vision 2022, Swazis should work hard towards the national target as well as ensure that they all leave legacies for future generations that will document all their individual contributions to attaining this feat. “We will have reached our vision when poverty is eradicated and we no longer have any Swazis living in need,” he said.

His Majesty also mentioned that when all children who were of school-going age were enrolled in schools and receiving education, then the country will have reached its national target. “Another indicator of attaining First World status will be when the country has created an enabling environment which will contribute to the creation of employment for the thousands of graduates in the country.”

He further noted that currently, the elderly in the country were not receiving a grant which covered all their needs. He said when the country was able to provide grants which would ensure that the elderly could take care of their needs, then he shall be pleased as the country will have reached its vision.
