MBABANE – Members of the public were once again treated to a rare scene when they spotted a couple having sexual intercourse in a parked car near the Lobamba hot springs.

This happened a week after two men were arrested for allegedly engaging in sexual intercourse at a bar at Buhleni.
The recent incident happened last Monday in clear view of onlooking residents who were relaxing near the spot where the couple is said to have engaged in sexual intercourse. Some men, who noticed the car passing by, said they were irked by the couple’s failure to greet them.

After some time, the men followed the car to the small shrub and found the couple in the act. They then called other residents to witness the incident and some took pictures.
A group of about 10 residents, including minors, came to the scene to see for themselves as the couple ‘got busy’.
One of the residents, in jest, said it appeared as if the couple was too busy to even notice the residents’ presence.

The two were caught having sexual intercourse in broad daylight in the back seat of a white sedan.
The woman was caught with her pants down. She was wearing blue jeans which she had lowered to her knees with her underwear exposed.
She was caught bare-breasted as her clothes lay on her waist. Upon noticing the people around them, they immediately dressed up.

In video footage, a resident is heard questioning the woman wherein she confirmed that they were having sex.
The woman, who identifies herself during questioning, said it was not for the first time she was having sex with the man, who appeared to be wearing a wedding ring, inside the car.

Have we become a nation of voyeurs? I do not condom (pun intended) people having intercourse in public as it is wrong. But I do sense that people are taking this a bit far. Should this be making news in a national paper? Me think not. While it is praiseworthy for community members to be vigilant about going what goes on in their neighbourhoods, being voyeuristic is not on. Yes they should have told the couple to get a move on but to take pictures with their cell phones and get such to be published in a newspaper shows that the community members are no better off than the couple caught doing nasty in the bush.
