MBABANE – High Court Judge Qinisile Mabuza will finally move to the new judges’ complex, in the Dalriach suburb in Mbabane.

This comes after Chief Justice Michael Ramodibedi this week handed over to her keys to one of the houses in the presence of Registrar of the High Court Fikile Nhlabatsi.

Reached for comment, Judge Mabuza confirmed having received the keys to one of the houses at the judges’ complex but declined to comment further.

Efforts to get a comment from the registrar of the High Court hit a snag as her phone rang unanswered.

occupied

The house which was previously occupied by Judge Mabuza will be demolished together with two others along Benn Dunn Street, at the All Saints Township, in Mbabane.
According to a source, the houses along Benn Dunn Street, including that of Justice Mabuza, were sold to a United Nations agency based in the country.

The property was reportedly sold by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.
The Times Sunday previously reported that Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development Clifford Mamba confirmed that the property was earmarked for a development which he would not disclose to the public for now.

He is reported to have said the general expectation was that the judge would have moved out of the residence by now.

luxurious

The publication can reveal that when she ultimately moves, Justice Mabuza  will be the first neighbour to her boss, Chief Justice Michael Ramodibedi at the luxurious complex that cost government E55 million to build.
