NO STOPPING NEW YOUTHFUL KPMG CAS

MBABANE – Assuming the status joining the pool of professionals called Chartered Accountants (CA) shows that Nofikasakha Manana and Nonjabulo Thwala went against the odds to successfully go through a competency phase that required utmost dedication and commitment.


This strong observation was made by KPMG Partner Vusi Nkabinde during an interview where the two youthful auditors unpacked what passing the Independent Regulatory Board of Auditors (IRBA) 2014 Public Practice Examination (PPE), which is the final assessment of competence for candidates who aspire to Registered Auditors (RA) or CA’s, meant to their careers and personal lives.

Nkabinde, who popped into the spacious boardroom of KPMG’s lavish offices located at the heart of the capital city about three minutes after Thwala started narrating how it had been a gruelling seven years of hard work and studying before she eventually assumed the coveted chartered accountant status, delved much into how the entire KPMG Group was proud of the duo’s achievements.


“Considering the very little number of chartered accountants in Swaziland, we expect them (Nonjabulo and Nofikasakha) to challenge the status quo based on what they have learnt. We strongly believe in them and hope they will live up to the expectations by producing the desired results which have made them who they are today,” Nkabinde charged.


When asked what opportunities would possibly present themselves now that the former University of Cape Town (Thwala) and University of KwaZulu Natal (Manana) graduates; Nkabinde disclosed; “Obviously, their salaries will be increased.
