MBABANE – The Royal Swaziland Police (RSP) service has made a major breakthrough in the fight against dagga trade in the country by arresting a syndicate that owns a dagga farm at Jubukweni, where the herb is being grown for the South African market.

Among the arrested is a British national, who told the court that he is the owner of the farm.
The syndicate narrated in court that the harvest from the farm was taken to supply the market in the Republic of South Africa, where it is a known fact that Swazi dagga was in demand. It was not clear how the British national ended up owning the farm, although he said he was its legal owner.

In total, there were five suspects who were busted for the dagga farming, including two South African nationals, two Swazis and the British national. They were arrested at Jubukweni, while at the farm where the dagga was cultivated. The two South Africans are Mark Jaaryd Littlewood (23) and Grant Philip Rosewarne (25) of Durban. The farm owner from Britain is Andrew Mollison (65). Their employees were the two Swazis; Sibusiso Otto Zikalala (52) and Muzi Mzwakhe Simelane (30), both of Nsukumbili.

The syndicate was said to have been operating at the farm for more than two years.
Zikalala and Simelane provided manual labour while Mollison owns the farm where the dagga was grown.
The farm owner confessed to have allowed Rosewarne and his crew to grow the dagga in his farm and also said he knew it was illegal in the country.

And its almost over a year now, no breakthrough over Funekile's Murder case. All these cops are good at is, cracking drink and driving and Dagga Cases but they seem to have their tail between their legs when it comes to high profile cases.
