MBABANE - KaBoyce High School results have been released, and the school managed to outshine all schools in the country.

The IGCSE results were officially released on Tuesday by the Ministry of Education and Training, where it was said results of 16 schools had been withheld. Some of those who were not on the list of schools have also obtained their results.

The results were fetched by the school yesterday and they managed to get 79.52 per cent credits in their results. The school also managed to get 100 per cent credit in three subjects, namely Economics, Fashion and fabrics and Food and Nutrition.

The pupils were in high spirits yesterday as they fetched their results from the school. They said they had a tough time without their results, as they did not understand what was happening.
The school was one of the 16 schools whose results had been withheld by the Examinations Council of Swaziland (ECoS). This left many wondering what had happened, as the school had performed exceptionally well in previous years, managing to hold the number one spot.

The Head teacher, Simon Mthunzi, was also in a very good mood as he gave out the results, and congratulated the pupils who had performed well. However, he could not be drawn to comment on why the school’s results were withheld, and he said that was an issue for another day.
He said he was just happy with the results.

In a previous interview, Mthunzi said he was not aware that the school’s results had been withheld and nothing had been communicated to them. He said the only problem that was communicated with them was about an Additional Mathematics paper for a private candidate which was said to be missing.

“We are not aware; maybe they are yet to inform us. I will have to ask the exams council, right now I don’t know anything.
The school managed to topple Ekudvwaleni High School from the top spot as the school had managed to get a 67.42 per cent credit pass rate.
Some of the pupils of the school did well, and one of them, Lungile Mkhatshwa could have been placed on the second spot as she got five A*s and two As in her examination. Meanwhile, Malungisa Mndzebele got four A*s and three As. Mndzebele is now pursuing his IB International Baccalaureate Diploma at Waterford Kamhlaba.

The former headgirl and headboy of the school managed to shine as they were part of the seven top pupils form the school.
Overall, 85 candidates sat for the IGCSE examination and they obtained 37 A*s, 68 As, 222 Bs, 213 Cs and 73 Ds.
The school was also placed on the top spot in the Form III results, and the pupils who wrote their AS level examinations also managed to get exceptional results.
