MBABANE – The Apostolic Faith Church has obtained an order stopping a breakaway faction from conducting church services at its Gege headquarters on Christmas Day.

The breakaway faction, which is three months old, is known as the Apostolic Faith Church Swaziland.
The Apostolic Faith Church yesterday obtained the order against the newly-formed church after its lawyer Mbuso Simelane moved an urgent application at the High Court yesterday.

The court also ordered members of the Royal Swaziland Police to ensure that the order was carried out.
Reverend Ephraim Bhembe of the Apostolic Faith Church said he was so saddened and hurt that he had to move this application against fellow brothers in Christ after having tried every possible means to get them on board.

The respondents are the newly formed Apostolic Faith Church, Reverend Lovely Ndlangamandla, Reverend Mduduzi Ndlela, Reverend Abel Simelane, Reverend Sabelo Masuku and Reverend Isaiah Msibi.

Bhembe alleged that on September 30, 2014 Reverend Ndlangamandla and Reverend Ndlela formed the Apostolic Faith Church Swaziland.
He submitted that the national overseer had tried all means to get them to a meeting at Daveyton which is where their main headquarters was situated, but the respondents had been defiant.

He told the court that Ndlangamandla, who had been cited as the second respondent, was the deputy of the late country’s overseer and when he died he started circulating stories that the late country’s overseer has executed a will where he appointed him as the Swaziland overseer.
