MANZINI – Employees at the Manzini Magistrates Court will now heave a sigh of relief as the Ministry of Public Works and Transport has began repairing the faulty toilets and supplying the place with new equipment.

Employees from the works department of arrived at the magistrates court in the morning yesterday to fix the toilets and they confirmed that the process would take about three days.

Constructing

The construction workers first worked on the public toilets and revealed that they would be reconstructing all the ablution blocks.
The employees’ toilets used by clerks, typists, drivers and police officers were successfully fixed yesterday

Employees at the magistrates court had resorted to using toilets at the Riverstone Mall due to the non-functioning of their own facilities.
The employees were forced to walk to town and  board the free shuttle to Riverstone Mall just so they could relieve themselves.

Stinking

The magistrates court was also faced with a problem of stinking and blocked public toilets.
Also, the unsanitary conditions forced members of the public to use other toilets and visitors had to contend with the stinking toilets in the building.
High Court Registrar Fikile Nhlabatsi said her office was working on revamping the said toilets with health inspectors and the works Department.
