DO YOU LOVE YOUR COUNTRY?

Editor,

In my secondary days I got the chance to read the literature book named Animal Farm. It was an interesting book but also saddening in one way or the other. The saddening part being that of bending of laws or rules, which were created to bring peace and order among the animals.

I can relate this scenario to our daily lives, especially in our country. I can ask one a question, an honest one which is....Do You Love Your Country? In this case being Swaziland. There are people or individuals who think (or some know) maybe by their positions in society, work places or in the country in general, they are important or very special than the rest.

And now I tend to understand why, lately, people are used and things are loved when it is supposed to be the opposite. Even the Bible makes it clear that we should love one another (to love your neighbour as you love yourself).
We are all equal, well even more equal in the eyes of the Lord and I believe it is never too late to do the right thing and at the right time so start now. Equality, love and respect can, without any doubt, lead us to 2022 with a First World class status.
