‘LEARN FROM HISTORY TO AVOID FUTURE MISTAKES’

Sir,

There is a saying which goes, ‘learn from history to avoid future mistakes’. While the world’s attention is focused on the marvels of scientific and technological advances and the unfolding disasters of climate change, very few are focused on the bigger picture, which is quickly emerging behind the scenes. It is often said that illusionists trick people by drawing their attention to what the right hand is doing, thus shifting the focus away from what the left hand is doing. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not implying that issues like COVID-19 or climate change shouldn’t be taken seriously, but instead of focusing solely on the science, could there also be lessons which can be learnt from history?

Changes

According to (but not limited to) the so-called ‘mythology’ of the ancient Maya civilisation of Central America, the world undergoes ‘cyclic changes’ which occur every 2 000 or so years, as one astrological age ends a new one begins. It is said that these cyclical changes are accompanied by cataclysmic weather events and other unusual phenomena. Some scientists now believe that Egypt, now mostly a desert, was once a green and fertile land. Could climate change have been responsible? In fact, the founder of Theosophy, one of the world’s most influential pagan movements, Helena P Blavatsky, was convinced that the astrological age of Pisces was ending and that the ‘new age’ of Aquarius was about to begin, and that an entity called ‘Sanat Kumara’ would emerge to oversee the ‘spiritual evolution’ of mankind. Her beliefs were echoed by the founder of the Thelema religion, Aleister Crowley, who believed that the world was entering the new age (or aeon) of Horus (the Egyptian sun god).

Prophecy

Again, this ‘prophecy’ was foretold in the mythology of the ancient cultures which spoke of the return of the (serpent) gods to earth to once again ‘guide evolution’ of mankind. While the people will simply dismiss these claims as silly conspiracy theories with no basis in reality, archaeological discoveries tell a different story, and research done by Professor Richard Cassaro, who is a lecturer of archaeology at the university of Madrid in Spain, proves that there was a direct link between the ancient religions of Central America, Egypt and also Asia (RichardCassaro.com).

Well, according to the Holy Bible, when Adam and Eve listened to the serpent and rebelled against God, this allowed the world to be completely corrupted by sin and genetic modification such that God sent a flood to kill all living things, except for those on board the ark. It goes on to tell us that Nimrod, who was Noah’s great grandson, went on to become the resurrected sun god (Basl).

Fact

It is a widely accepted fact among archaeologists that Sumer was the first major civilisation on earth, and it just so happens that Marduk (the sun god) was also worshipped there. It, therefore, stands to reason that the sun/moon god/goddess cult spread throughout the world from there. But perhaps most importantly, the Bible also tells us that the days preceding the second coming of the Messiah would be as it was during the time of Noah (before the flood).

We know from the book of Revelation that the dragon (serpent) of old will also return and deceive the whole world, claiming to be God himself.
But the truth is that Jesus is not returning to rule the world and its inhabitants, He is returning to collect those who accepted His gift of salvation and eternal life. Will you, dear reader, be among them?
