THE CORONAVIRUS IS AT IT AGAIN

Sir,

Allow me to pass my sincerest and heartfelt condolences to all those who have lost their loved ones as a result of COVID-19. Seemingly the battle is far from over. Like falling trees during a windy day, we are robbed of our loved ones as a result of the pandemic. Living is no longer thrilling anymore, especially because no one knows what the future holds for us. We might be laughing today yet there is unbearable agony awaiting us tomorrow. It is during these times where most people lose their sense of well-being. In an unprecedented rate, cases of deaths are predominantly accelerating.

Flooded

What have we done to offend the heavens? Social media is flooded with uncountable numbers of rest in peace. Is this really a punishment that we deserve after a spanning drought of years hardly listening to God? Why is it that every time when we have to listen to the news we become apprehensive of the number of emaSwati contracting and passing on as a result of this virus? We have cried enough! COVID-19 is here to destroy and dismantle the peace of humanity. It is here to divide the bonds that families had worked hard trying to build. It is here to break our hearts asunder; into tiny unrecognized and painful puzzles. Who would ever fix that?

Infected

If you are not infected by this definitely you are affected. This is now a talk of every continent. Not only do we really need to guide and guard ourselves in these trying times but we need to do everything with a high level of understanding. If you decide to pray, know that it should be real. Likewise, if you decide to fast know that also needs to be real. How many times have we prayed to God because of the atrocious effects of this pandemic? Do we need to pray like Hannah in the Bible such that our voices sound no more or we need to shout aloud like the Samaritan woman after having contact with Jesus? Nobody knows; we are all just clueless!
