STOP WOMAN ABUSE!

Sir,

I am saddened by the growing number of women’s death in the hands of their loved ones and in the name of love! These people were created to be loved, for helping and for making sure that a man is not lonely, among other things. So how can you abuse your helper and a person who completes your life? Men; are you happy when you see the woman you love with bruises on her face? Does that make you feel like a man? Does your woman’s cry for help amuse you? Actually, how can you raise a finger against the person you love? Is it supposed to be like that? It’s high time you stop taking out your frustrations on women.

‘She doesn’t respect me’. So by beating her, will that bring back the respect? ‘She’s cheating, I’ll teach her a lesson’. Why not teach yourself the lesson of letting go if what you had is gone? Will killing her solve anything or it’ll create more trouble for you? Two wrongs don’t make a right, even if you kill her that’s more like putting yourself in cold water because you’ll have to first deal with your conscience day in and day out before facing your crime. Jails are almost full of men who are abusing women.

If you think beating a woman makes you a man, well let me tell you for free, you’re totally wrong! Actually you’re not man enough, you’re a coward! You still need to be taught what it means to be a man. Real men don’t abuse their women, either physically or emotionally. Real men value their women, they know that she’s not a punching bag, neither your slave. How many times will you say sorry for beating her? When she’s in the coffin and you are the one who put her there, how will you then apologize; when she can’t answer and fake a smile with her bruised face full of blue eyes and forgive you? Stop blaming other people and booze for making you beat your women but blame yourself. You’re the one who’s doing this evil act, not booze or people!

What does the future generation learn from you, what do you want ‘us’ to learn from you because you’re supposed to be a role model. We look up to you. Who will we turn to now because you’re busy killing our mothers like flies! You’re killing them as if they’re nothing. When will it be revealed in your minds that what you’re doing is totally wrong! We’re tired of looking up to monsters! Poets have jotted poems, artists have sung trying to warn you against this evil act but no you’ve turned a deaf ear to that!
Men! It’s high time you show us what it means being a man. It’s high time you man up and show us that this is not how things are supposed to be done. We’re tired of being orphans since when our mothers die, you’re thrown into jail and then we’re left in the streets! Please change your ways, this is not how things were meant to be. You can still change.
