GREED, CORRUPTION EVERYWHERE

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

Sir,

What do you name someone who embezzles government’s money like young boys from the countryside aiming for honey in a beehive?

Greed and corruption are everywhere; in schools, prisons, at work and the worst of all is in government.  It’s devastating to see a student acquiring a scholarship just because he is a relative to a government representative when there has been a student who has enough credits being sent back home with a sad face just because he was not found eligible to be afforded the golden opportunity. It is true that it is impossible to have scholarships for all but do us and yourselves   justice.

Yes school is a place to be but would you blame a pupil with a disability for dropping out of school because one of the so-called ‘good teachers’ had been a pain in the neck of the innocent future leader. Teachers try their best to convince us that we can all pass with astonishing results but then in reality that is impossible. I am sorry to say this but it’s the truth, so teachers should stop having favorites in class because we are not perfect as beings; never have and never will be. Some teachers act as if they are nice yet they are just like wolves in sheep skin. They are just sleek about it because they know we cannot complain in an effort to stay away from trouble. I am not saying intimacy between pupils is better but then its more irking to learn that a teacher has impregnated a pupil when they go around in circles preaching to us to stay away from love relationships.

It’s a fact that God creates every person for a purpose thus He created Julius Malema. If you are affected by this letter in any way, ask yourself why black people at most love to complain. The thing is they do not have astounding jobs and freedom of speech which is a main factor why there are continuous arrests and disputes. One thing we must learn as a nation though, is how to complain because as I see it we just grumble. Keep on hoping and maybe vision 2022 will be a door to all opportunities. Patience, assertiveness and integrity are the values we must bear in mind for the better future of the coming generation. God bless Eswatini!
