COVID-19: A BLESSING IN DISGUISE?

Sir,

In what may seem a total destruction and a senseless evil pandemic, destroying young and old, rich and poor, learned politicians and civil servants, kings and presidents; reading between the lines, the adage, ‘Everything has got a positive and negative side’ proves a reality in as far as the ‘enemy,’ COVID-19, is concerned. An alarming number of people succumb to this pandemic almost every week. Scores of people who could have lived to positively impact the universe and bring profound change die; a melancholic experience indeed! Nonetheless, don’t you think this is a ‘good’ way of bringing humans - beautiful creatures ever created in the image of the Most High - closer to God?

Explain

Allow me to explicate, allow me to articulate and explain meticulously. When I take a closer look, we are now learning to actualise whatsoever God created us to do, instead of having our minds on material and earthly things, which, on a sad note, we will have to leave behind. Everybody now praises and worships God instead of following trends and technology.

Pray

We have learned to pray, and every country has realised the importance of God. Don’t you think COVID-19 is a blessing in disguise? Anyway, don’t get me wrong. People have learned to behave themselves in public. There is actually no other thing that elates me other than the fact that all humans are now equal. God wants us to be equal by the way! No country recognises others more and everyone has got their attention to the Most High! It is funny how some people want to come and reside in Africa, for whatever reason.

The power of God is sought, since we have realised that the power of God is and will forever be greater than hospitals. Don’t you think this ‘enemy’ brought some positives as well?
People have morals now; they have stopped devouring forbidden animals. Bars and clubs are closed, including nightclubs and casinos. Families have been brought together, humanity brought back, we are united to fight one ‘enemy’. The coronavirus brought down interest rates and people now know how to sneeze, yawn and cough. Is this not positive?
