ESWATINI RANKING NO.14 IN AFRICA IN CORRUPTION

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

 Sir,

I was not troubled at all about our position in the corruption index. I even commended ourselves that we are not at the top because of our rich history in corruption and rewarding it at the same time.
As I have said and will continue saying it that the world is watching us and putting us on the scales.

So, being ranked at this position shows that we are not that bad. As babe Percy Simelane said it clearly that the corruption in our country has gone too deep to uproot within a short space of time. In as much as there is some iota of truth in his assertions but I beg to differ with his opinion because there is a possibility to eradicate corruption within a month as long as we are committed to uprooting it.

unpalatable

As long as our beautiful Jabu Phakathi at ACC takes the casual approach towards eradicating corruption then it will escalate to unpalatable levels. I can’t understand what she meant when saying as long as a case of corruption has not been reported to her office it’s as good as if it has not happened.
This is a cruel joke. Let me put it like this: “If my herd boy finds a human skeleton in the mountains and does not report it to the relevant structures, does it mean that no human life was lost? Does it mean the police must not investigate?” So, likewise evidence of corrupt acts have been seen and done, but nothing has been done about it.  The fact that the few cases which have been reported to ACC have not seen the light of day is a total mockery and an insult to all of us who are not corrupt. I also have to bring to the readers’ attention the deafening silence by our PM, who when taking office vowed to fight corruption and uproot it, but what we are seeing is just the total opposite.  Some legislators met at one of the top restaurants known to me and themselves and acts of corruption happened, but till today nothing is done and even in the coming years, nothing will happen.
There is no commitment from the PMs side and it is just business as usual.

A head of government who decides to remain silent when acts of corruption are committed by his subordinates makes him an accomplice to the corrupt perpetrators. “Mlangeni you are a true born-again Christian, and from school I know you to have never been involved in naughty deals. So what has happened to your sanity? Have you been changed so early by this system?
No Nkhosi just be seen doing something and not just relaxing, don’t betray God because He is watching you. He has given you wisdom, so its time you apply it in dealing with corruption. We are looking at you because the ACC is as good as it non existance.
Through some of the corrupt individuals within government, we are witnessing the evictions of farmers at Vuvulane. At this juncture may I plead with your office to protect our Majesties from these faceless cabals who are ill advising them?

commodity

These faceless cliques are all out to dethrone our Majesties and may you please come to their rescue save, our Majesties because we love both of them equally. These faceless cabals will soon be advising our Majesties to pick corrupt people into emabandla so that corruption can continue in the country.
It will come as no surprise that the same people will be pointed into emabandla. Let me point out to my dear reader that it is not their Majesties who pin point people, but they do so at the advice of those surrounding them. Since the people surrounding their Majesties are very bad people, they will always be economical with the truth and mislead them.

I understand clearly that we who attempt to tell the truth are labelled as dissidents who are hell-bent on causing anarchy in the kingdom. That is far from the truth. All we are trying to do is to present the truth which is a scarce commodity here in Eswatini. Truth is as scarce as a virgin in Mangozeni, Malkerns.
So Mr.PM, I hereby once again beg you to remove us from this position we are in as far as corruption is concerned. Do away with the corrupt legislators and advise our Majesties on the right candidates to select for emabandla. God bless.
