GENERATING LOVE

Sir,

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is neither arrogant nor rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful, it does not rejoice at wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things and endures all things. Love never ends. Have you ever, for one second, sat down to think about the real meaning of the statement ‘I love you’, from you to the opposite sex. This phrase applies not only to the unmarried but also to those who are married, it’s a phrase of reflection. When I say I love you, do I mean I love the way your face is structured, do I mean I love your body structure, or do I mean I love your voice, your smile your dress sense. What exactly do I mean when I say to someone I love you?

It’s more than the eyesight could ever comprehend, more than the heart could ever contain. It’s a matter of all extraterrestrial bodies being involved, the eyes, heart, mind and soul being involved. There is a statement common among Africans that ‘beauty is in the eyes of the beholder’, that means beauty counts immensely. Love is a connection so strong the universe depends on it to survive. It’s a connection so strong the sun generates its heat through it; love is a connection so strong wind is propelled by it, rain has to be accelerated by it. The formation of a fetus to maturity in the womb of a woman has to be natured by love and further the growth of a child to adulthood has to be propelled by love.

Nature has a tendency of healing itself and that cannot happen unless love is completed in that part of nature, even the healing of wounds and diseases depends on the force called love. Love has a force so powerful it can attract two people from across the earth, without considering the distance nor the cultural differences but being able to accommodate one another. Love is a force that even before a word is spoken, it surrounds both individuals with so much refreshment and amazingness one could never explain. Love is that feeling that would leave your heart pumping without stopping and feeling like your heart has been made anew and complete. Love is more than the words ‘I love you’, more than the smile you will reciprocate immediately after receiving these words. It’s more than a state of mind, more than sight appreciation but a place of sanctuary and a heart with walls of protection and a soul coated with God Himself, dipped in so much love in realms beyond the ordinary worlds of humanity. Love, as I summarise, is but generated by all the terrestrial parts of a human being, we are but the image of God and we are perfect, hold on.
