KNOWLEDGE OF DECEPTION

Sir,

Most people are familiar with the saying ‘knowledge is power’. Indeed knowledge is becoming essential for survival in this day and age.

It is the main reason why people attend places of learning. But there are limits to how much knowledge an average person will acquire in their lifetime.
It would be very rare (or maybe even impossible) to find anyone who has knowledge on every subject. It would simply be too much information to absorb, and we, therefore, tend to only study the things which spark our interest.

One of the subjects that sparks the interest of most people is the origins of life. In the past people relied on religion to help them understand our origins and purpose, at least until the emergence of scientific theories, which, some believe, offer more valid explanations about our origins.

But while adepts of science suggest that scientific knowledge is the key to unlocking the secrets of life, followers of the Gnostic religion (from the Greek word for knowledge) also believe that the key to one’s salvation depends on whether one has acquired certain ‘mystical knowledge’ concerning the unleashing of the so-called ‘divine spark’ from within. Only the ‘select few’, who possess this ‘secret knowledge’, will apparently be found worthy enough to have eternal life.
According to some researchers, Gnosticism is thought to be an offshoot of the Judeo-Christian religion and originated in Alexandria in Egypt around the same time as Christianity was emerging from Judaism.

However, followers of the Gnostic religion called into question the divinity of Jesus Christ, who came in the flesh. According to them, Jesus was some kind of ‘optical illusion’ who was not flesh because they considered all matter and the material (physical) world to be evil, while only the spirit world is good.

They went as far as labeling the Judeo-Christian religion as being the creation of an inferior and evil god, called the demiurge, who apparently created the universe, and who uses reptilian alien beings called archons to ‘enslave’ humanity using religion (with particular emphasis on Judeo-Christianity) to impede them from discovering their own supposed ‘divinity’ – the ability to leave the physical body and interact with the spirit realm.

But even though certain Christian sects did adopt some of the Gnostic doctrines, such as the veneration of the so-called ‘mother goddess’ who supposedly gave birth to the so-called ‘divine principal’, this religion appeared to share more in common with the Eastern religions than with Christianity.
Even though it is thought to have ceased to exist as a religion, many of its doctrines are still said to be propagated through occult secret societies whose origins can be traced back to ancient Egypt and Babylon.

While Gnostics considered mystical knowledge to be the key to salvation – for the select few who possess it – Christianity teaches us that Jesus Christ (God) is the key to salvation for all those who accept Him as their Lord and Saviour.

And while some people are of the view that the ‘secret knowledge’ will be made available to everyone at the appointed time in order to usher in a new ‘golden age’ of ‘divine consciousness’ on earth, believers should be aware that it was the fallen reptilian serpent who deceived the first human beings in the Garden of Eden, and continues to do so today.
