A MESSAGE TO THE NEXT PARLIAMENT

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

Sir,

Firstly, let me appreciate the thousands of Emaswati who have heeded to the call to register for the national elections. It is a sign that we are all dedicated to the development of our beautiful country.

We have heard many citizens complaining that the people that they chose tended to forget them once they made it to Parliament. However, the point I want to make today is that those who will have the privilege of being part of the next Parliament should remember to look back at the performance of the previous MPs that we had.

By this I mean that they need to look at how the previous MPs failed the nation on many aspects.  The main one, in my view, is on the issue of roads.
So to our next MPs, please make the roads, especially in the rural areas, a priority. People are struggling and have to walk several kilometers just to catch the next bus due to the fact that the roads are poor.
