FINAL WARNING TO ‘WOULD BE’ VOTERS

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

Sir,

I have decided to stop making more comments about the forthcoming elections, but for some reason something deep inside forced me to do so, because my life and that of my only son ‘Scubhosengwenya’ will be deeply affected by the wrong decisions that will be made soon.
They will be making ‘wrong or right’ decisions that will haunt us for the next five years.
Next weekend we shall be taking part in the national elections.

Needless to say that aspiring people have run out of cash trying to lobby and consult with false prophets and witchdoctors; and worse still killing people for ritual purposes to enable them to win the forthcoming elections.

need more vigilance
Because I have warned my fellow emaSwati that at this juncture, we need to be very vigilant and may I once again sound that.
I have noted with concern that my articles are always written in the Queen’s language and it hurts me most that some fellow countrymen are left out; maybe one day we shall have a siSwati version of the newspaper where we shall send our articles for the benefit of those who did not get the privilege of going to school.

MaSwati lamahle, we are now grown ups mentally and academically, and we can focus and read into the future.
Let us not be taken for a ride by these ex-MPs, who want to bounce back just for the benefit of money and not for the country.
Ask yourself as to what good did they do for the country in their last term?

What new legislation did they enact and which saw the light of day?
There is literally nothing. What did they do for the country that we can talk about?

There is nothing at all. Simple logic dictates that if we can take them back to Parliament all we would be saying is that we are happy with the status quo and wish to remain like this for the next five years.
So all I am appealing for is that we need MPs who will bring change and not these problems we are facing which date from the time these ex –MPs were in office.

facing corruption
Today we are suffering because of their failures; the country is facing state capture because of their failure to enact laws that protect the state from these rogues.

The country is facing corruption because of their failure to enact laws that will enable the ACC to have sharp teeth.
It is a known fact that corruption is awarded in this country; if you are not corrupt then you don’t have a place in the echelons of power.
As we clearly know that the propensity of government is to recycle the old and same useless people to continue occupying offices, it will not come as surprise that even PM might be someone from the history who shall be dusted and polished to make him look new and yet the truth is he is bankrupt with innovative ideas to move the country forward.

However, we trust that the SNC will advise our leaders about the right candidate for the premiership position.
My fellow country men please be aware that if we make a wrong choice, we will continue to have a high unemployment rate, high poverty rate, a large number of growing cases of corruption and a high nepotism rate.

If we want to stay under this current situation, then let’s bring back the ex-MPs who are by the way politically naïve and politically delinquent. Let us vote with our brains and not our heads. This is my plea to all my fellow countrymen.
