HOW TO DEVELOP OUR COUNTRY

Sir,

Thank you for giving me the chance to share my ideas with my fellow Swazi citizens.

I believe that the best way to do things is to speak the truth. Life would be much better in Swaziland if we swallowed our pride and worked together for a common goal to develop the country.

We need to create a sense of belonging in the communities that we live in. Unfortunately we still have people who find joy in pulling each other down and this will not take us anywhere.

I believe that to get Swaziland working and developing we need to combine our various skills and form a strong chain made up of people from all spheres of life.
If you want to develop your country choose a way (politics, business, etc) and put everything you can to be at the top of the path you choose.

Lessons from better countries show that for any country to develop and become affluent the first and foremost rule is to control the population growth this will ensure that the resources of the country are shared by few people.

Another important and vital element is that the education has to be free by providing a very large choice which will ensure an educated populace in demand throughout the world.

There is a need to ensure that medical facilities are at a nominal rate. Government also has a role to play by making sure that the working population is taxed at a reasonable higher rate and this then should be spent for the welfare of the people.

I also want to point out that the country should keep the development agenda without harming nature and environment. It must work in partnership with nature and the laws should be strict and swift.

A country cannot go anywhere if corruption rules so this sickness should be dealt with very harshly for other citizens to see and take note.
We can develop our country by increasing the number of skilled, semi— skilled and unskilled human resources and providing the employment opportunity in nation.

To my brothers and sisters out there, all that is needed from you is to work hard, save money, invest wisely, develop technology, educate the people, put everyone to work who wants to work, reward work and punish crime and laziness, govern your country by the rule of law, develop resources, encourage commerce and trade, stay away from or minimise the use of illegal drugs, cigarettes and alcohol, keep a strong constitution with separation of powers and limited government, avoid special interests that create infighting and over-regulation.

If we can do all the things I have mentioned, then our country is guaranteed of developing and becoming one of the best in the world.
