CHANGE YOUR ENVIRONMENT

Sir,

Have you ever thought of changing your environment? If you don’t change your environment, your environment will change you. We have been oriented into our environments in a way that it is hard to think about making a change.

Whether you want to change or not, change will occur. Some people have been changed by situations that they have come across. Making a change is a bit scary to others but it is something they ‘must’ do.

Change always comes with challenges and this is a fact we cannot avoid. Are you ready to be changed by circumstances? Sometimes we see challenges come our way and think someone is against us yet life comes with its own challenges. Don’t fool yourself and think that challenges are brought about by your enemy.

Sometimes you may get to a new environment and discover that there are more challenges than before. When challenges confront us that is when our minds should be at their best. Others have achieved big things because they thought big.

If you don’t change, life will bring its own change. The sad part is that the change that life brings will be negative. We have to leave our comfort zones and look forward to a new environment. Our greatest enemy is fear; once we start thinking about something new we begin to panic.

Let’s just open up our minds and think differently. We may learn from the experience but we should not stay long there because it may remind us of the past. The strategy you used the last time you won was good, but it was good just for that time. Now think of a new way of going forward. The strategy that somebody used yesterday and succeeded with does not obviously mean it can work out for you. No, I have to find my own strategy. Let’s avoid these outdated philosophies, they will never bring any changes in our lives.

Failing won’t make you a failure. Another idea that can help is to picture your life both ways; having made the change and having stayed the same. Moving towards something means moving away from something else, and it’s not always moving away from something negative. When the time is right for you to make a change, you’ll be sent what you need to make it happen.

In the
meantime, enjoy where you are; don’t be afraid to become attached to where you are just because you may leave it one day. A good goal for us all is to live fully wherever we are in life, for as long as we’re there.
