DISCOVER YOUR ASSIGNMENT

 Sir,

Allow me to express myself about the existence of human on earth. What really is life and why do we exist? I may not describe it well but day by day I discover new things about life.
We used to sing a song; ‘To live doesn’t mean you’re alive’.

I can’t imagine the pain I would feel once I discover that though I have lived in the world, I have not fulfilled my purpose.
Everyone may agree with me that every human was born for a purpose and he/she was given an assignment but the urgent question to ask is; when do we discover our assignments? There are people who survived and passed away without fulfilling or discovering their purpose.

I have deliberately run away from Bible scriptures but Christians will agree that there is a day that will come where we will account for what we have done in this world. It is clear that the Creator did not just send us to fill space and just move up and down on earth.
No matter how small or great you think you are; you have a role to play before you pass away. Sometimes we see famous people and think they have played their role; some can live until they are 100 years old but this doesn’t mean they have fulfilled their purpose.

Some have done their assignment in a space of five years and some in six, seven, eight or even 50. Let’s keep in mind that even if you can live until the age of 100, without doing your purpose, you are a failure.
Discovering your assignment is essential as long as you are still living. Don’t just be born, live and then pass away without doing your assignment in the world. You have to contribute something in someone’s life. The Dalai Lama once said; “Our prime purpose in this life is to help others and if you can’t help them, at least don’t hurt them.” At the end it is not the years in your life that will count but it’s the life in your years.

“Life is not measured by duration but by donation,” said Myles Munroe. Even if you can look down upon yourself, don’t forget you have something you can do for the world.
Let’s contribute something in someone’s life; that is one of the reasons we were born for.

When you believe in your dreams and your vision, then it begins to attract its own resources.
No one was born to be a failure; in fact, you have what it takes to accomplish your dreams or your assignment. There are no reasons for you to fail.
