ARE WE GROWING AS A NATION?

Sir,

Yes we are all aiming for His Majesty’s vision of 2022 but are we really into it? It’s true the innovation to build new roads, change in the South African immigration laws and building SOS facilities are good deeds, but is that the ounce of work government can do for the nation?

One morning as I was on my way to the shop to buy comestibles, I dolefully witnessed an old and crank woman eating cow dung for breakfast.
This scene actually threw me of my quest, I dropped a tear or two knowing that there was nothing the so-called neighbours and government were doing about the mournful condition the old lady was experiencing.

Yes there have been grants for the elderly but maybe the ministry responsible can dig deeper than that and cater for every soul in communities.

What is very labourious is the increase in the rate of drink-driving issues, folks being incarcerated for the possession of dagga, drug smuggling and human trafficking, to name a few. It is an impediment and has to be refrained. Corruption in every sense of the word and in every part of the country should at least be alleviated because some people will never do right.

Drug abuse is a growing issue in the country and there have been a growing number of divorce issues, people committing crimes and school drop outs. What hurts the most is that a high percentage of people who consume alcohol are teens, our future leaders who at the end become indecent married men who commit adultery.

Fellow Swazis we should thank the Almighty God that we are not as racist unlike our neighbouring country South Africa, where there was apartheid for quite a long time but they have then invented BBE which is aimed at uniting all races. But then in Swaziland we are almost of the same race but we cannot support each other for the betterment of the nation. All we know is to bewitch each other instead of using that money to buy bread the next morning.

No wonder there are less people who are efficacious in our country. This is because of the dark cloud engulfing some people’s hearts.
If only we can work together as a country and try to extirpate every catastrophe, and maybe we can have a prosperous environment. In reality, there can never be a perfect world but then who would love to live in an unchaste and a State filled with delinquency.
