DISAPPOINTED EX-CIVIL SERVANT

Sir,

Thank you for allowing me space in your revived and reliable newspaper. I would like to register my complaint against an officer in the Ministry of Education.

How on earth was she recommended to deal with the public given her attitude? I have recently retired from the civil service, however, I was not happy with the way she handled my issue.
Firstly, she phoned my place of work telling the receptionist that the time for me to retire had come. Secondly, she gave my letter of compulsory retirement to another officer. What if this letter got lost?

And as if that was not enough, she told this person that so and so was retiring on such and such a date. Why did she do this because all the details were in the letter? Where is the confidentiality? This woman had my number and she had called me once or twice. Why the change all of a sudden? If she needed something from me, she should have contacted me instead of advertising my retirement in the manner she did.

I am not scared of retirement because it is God’s grace that I have reached 60 years, of which I doubt that she is going to reach that year. What this lady did to me was very bad. She is going to do it to somebody else who might not take it as lightly as I did but will sue her. Bhasobha ntfombatana, bantfu abafanani. People will sue you.

The Ministry of Education should be careful when promoting people. This lady does not deserve any promotion. She was supposed to have been groomed first for this position, atjelwe nanekutsi that her office is very sensitive.

Principal secretary please put your house in order. I once read in the paper sometime last year about questionable promotions and your name was implicated. Ngakuphikela knowing who you are.
But now I am convinced there was some corruption involved in your recommendations for promoting such a person.

Ex-civil servant.
