IT IS AN ABOMINATION

Sir,

I would like to comment on a story published by the Observer on May 23, titled ‘Senators, MPs open arms to gays and lesbians’.
Another honourable member of the House, Chief Kekela, took it a step further and issued a warning to churches to stop discriminating against people with different sexual behaviours.

It is important to note that churches, just like any other organisation, are established and operated on the basis of a set of guidelines and principles.
Other organisations have constitutions in place, but churches have the Bible as the main book of reference. The Bible clearly states that any sexual act that is not between a wife and a husband is a sin.

Homosexuality, bestiality, incest, prostitution, adultery and fornication are sins before God. In Leviticus 18:22 it says, “ A man shall not have sex with another man, and a woman shall not have sex with another woman, it is an abomination.
Other scriptures are found in, 1 Corinthians 6:9 & 1 Timothy 1:10. God is indeed a loving God, but He abhors homosexuality and He would not hesitate to pass judgment on any nation that practices it (Genesis 19).

There is a belief that God created some people to be gay and lesbian and that is not supported by the Bible. In Genesis 1:22, God created Adam and Eve. He blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply.”
Now, God is definitely not confused, how can He create gays and lesbians and expect them to multiply.

A man and another man cannot produce children and the same goes for a woman and another woman. Gays and lesbians are clearly a creation of Satan. The church will never accept gays and lesbians and will never conduct gay and lesbian marriages.

The story was a shocking revelation, considering the fact that both senators and MPs were sworn into Parliament using the Bible.
I have no doubt that they open every session with prayer.

I also have no doubt that the Bible is occasionally used as a book of reference during their debates.
I have no doubt that each and every one of the parliamentarians were born from a man and a woman relationship. I also do not doubt that none of them would gladly accept if one of their own children were to declare that they were either gay or lesbian.

The reality is, we do not want homosexuality in our nation. Let us not succumb to external pressure from the United Nations.
