BELIEVE IN GOD NOT YOUR PASTOR
Sir,
Thank you for giving me space in your widely read newspaper. I’m deeply saddened by how our fellow Swazis have been led astray by the so called ‘pastors’ and others who claim bayakholwa just because they can read and have a wide knowledge about the Book of Life.
Versions
First of all in the Bible we are not told about ‘pastors’, in fact, from Genesis to Revelations you do not come across that name (pastor), or maybe it’s the versions I have read, I’m not sure.
My point here is that just because these pastors are well versed on the Word of God and some perform real wonders, does not mean they are truly men of God.
My advice to my fellow Swazi Christians is that they should shift from worshipping their pastors to worshipping the God their pastors worship.
Lifestyle
Lately, worshipping God has been turned into a lifestyle where people go to church just to show off their glamorous outfits and gadgets.
I’m sure that in the near future, roll-calls will be included in the programme at our churches and people will go to church to also be marked ‘present’.
I strongly believe that kukholwa shouldn’t be a claim like some people do; it should be a way of life, pure love and sharing.
