YOUR JOB IS ONLY TO PROTECT THE PUPILS

Sir,

I think the pupils who pushed the boy were totally wrong.  It was anger that made the teacher to make them parade naked as well as the motivation to make sure they do not do such a thing again in their lives, yet that was still wrong.

Sometimes teachers are so rude to pupils, they must have a good way to punish them. There is no doubt in my mind that this teacher was wrong.
It makes me wonder what has gotten into teachers lately, they are always in the news for the worst things.

This is unacceptable, especially bearing in mind that they are professionals.
It’s high time the ministry stopped barking and started to bite before things get really out of control. No one wants a situation on their hands they will not be able to control.

We have observed that over the years pupils and students continue to be subjected to abuse at learning institutions. The conscious youth must join student organisations whose objectives are addressing the needs and looking after the welfare of fellow students.

Government is hypocritic in this regard. This is evident in that government still refuses to recognise and allow for the registration of youth organisations that are interested in students and youth welfare.

The future of the country is definitely under siege as it is.
Someone else may argue that they would have done the same if they were this teacher. These pupils were playing but the one pushed outside was embarrassed, right?

And he could not do the same to them. Then here was a teacher who was irked by this barbaric behaviour.
Someone said to me the teacher may have been reluctant to punish them using a stick because teachers are no longer allowed to punish pupils, through corporal punishment, despite it being the fastest way to punish the little ones.

They also said given the kind of parents we have today, who pamper their children, they would not be shocked to hear that the teacher has been taken to task.
I don’t think we should applaud a teacher who potentially scarred these pupils for a long time. As a teacher your job is to protect the pupils at all costs.

Madam
