ARE THESE THE LAST DAYS?

Sir,

No Christian alive today will ever tell the next as to how long the last days will be.

This is because no one knows even his own last day as he continues to live in these proclaimed last days (2 Timothy 3:1).
Well, the quickest and most logical question to ask is, last days for what?

Another question to ask as well is why are days, life and death ever continuous?
It is true we have continuous days of both life and death, such that no one cares to count the dead population since the dead are as well in their own world of last days too (John 11: 24).  I have gathered that we people are not scared of the idea of last days because we are used to seeing things start and end continuously since creation.

I have also noted that things start in different ways; that is why they end in different ways. That is to say if the start of something is infinite it surely must mean its end is infinite too, which is equivalent to saying something is being born again every day. If Christians believe that one can have his/her numbered days of life added whenever he or she shows sincere respect to the elderly (Romans 6:1), then Christians do believe as well that each one of them is living a limited life of last days, as no one can add on limitless things.

The worst part here is not knowing how many of these days will be added whenever one performs this act daily and I will not bother myself to extend the thought of why people die.  By now, it is clear that a large population of people live knowing very well that their lives have numbered days and this partly answers to what last days are for.
I have heard of gods and goddesses and they all had their last days of life. This does not leave out the countless kings and queens of ancient times. I have seen and heard of societies that had their start and end while these proclaimed last days continued to eternise.

How did Noah’s family come to pass if it all started from Adam and Eve?
How did the Mandela and Kapupu or Jackson family start and how will they end too?
If life starts from the mating of the female and male creatures then it will be true to say that the end of that species will cease to exist if indeed its members quit mating with each other. Again if all Noah’s family was killed or wiped out, it is true also that many people see their last days by being killed by others. How does peace and war start and end? How do education, employment, economy and religious faith start and end. How can one see the last days of his employment, religious faith or right to live?

Who conditions the start and end of anything or anyone?
If governments were started, how will they be ended, that is, are governments living in their last days as well? If God saw it fit to change people’s languages, so as scatter them all over the planet, how come nations are uniting into one global nation, and does that mean independent nations are living in their last days?  I know of cultures that were alive and are no more but what cultures are living in their last days today? If same-sex cultures are promoted at a global scale, won’t the heterosexual cultures die out at the same scale as well?

If buying and selling were started through the exchange of precious minerals, how come banknotes took over and how come digital figures are taking over today as a means of buying and selling? Could we now say that the usefulness of cash is in its last days?  So why do you hate, kill, enslave, love, praise or even adore others when we are all living in the last days, which is either fortunate or unfortunate if  indeed you will be doing any of these for the last time?

Why are people publishing newer versions of the Holy Bible if indeed these are the last days? What newer understanding do people acquire from these new versions of Bibles and who really inspires their superscription?
If there is always room for improvement or perfection it follows then that each improvement or perfection we achieve automatically lives in its last days once it has been achieved at a time.
I want to believe that in the next 2 555 last days, something perfect will come out of the imperfect and when that materialises, the perfect will become imperfect, since there will always be room and continuity for improvement or perfection.
To this end, it is absurd to number something as last, if indeed it continues to multiply, unless continuity itself has a limit; that is to say, if the continuity of each day has a limit, we are bound to accept that today will not last, even though that would not mean it is the last day of these proclaimed last days.
