YOUTH OF TODAY

Sir,

The youth falls for everything and  stands for nothing now, they are all over the place doing God knows what. The question is who do we blame, the internet?

In every youth, be it in Swaziland or the UK, there has always been a monster thirsting for drastic change and the internet just gave breath to that monster.

Most recent conversations begin with ‘wup 2’ (What’re you up to?). Some have even lost their identity and at the end of a conversation they are confused because at some point they happened to use an acronym that was not even relevant to the conversation. Come on people wake up.
Now to address the issue of change from two angles, that of males and females. Lord have mercy on our girls as they are seeking perfection, at least that’s what they call it. Crop tops revealing too much flesh, jeans tighter than our own skin, piercings in areas that cannot be mentioned, all under the name ‘change’.

Come on girls you are more valuable than that. I’m not saying wear plastics to cover up your hour glass bodies but I am saying at least cover up some flesh that you know should always stay hidden.

Speaking of the ‘hour glass body’, many girls are confused as to how one goes about getting there. Drinking plenty of water is one way to get that perfect body but obviously our young girls want everything to be done in a snap and that’s where the clichéd waist comes in.

Taking after its name, the clinched waist squeezes everything in your abdominal areas this causes a rise in the abdominal pressure, blunting the diaphragm and restricting movement and the end result is the sculpted waist that many thirst for.

To the boys; truly speaking there is nothing much to be said about our boys, other than their low-slung pants and their poor combination of colours.
Come on boys you can do better. Pull up your pants, and show that unlike your pants your lives are head up. Unfortunately the introduction of tikhothane have messed with the thinking of these boys.
