STATE OPENING OF SOUTH AFRICAN PARLIAMENT

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

Sir,

Why would I deny myself the right to comment on the above when South Africa is the life blood (economically) of our peaceful kingdom even though a misguided few want it to be a ‘peaceful’ kingdom possibly run by mavericks. Peace will always be better than ‘pieces’. President Zuma was booed at the State funeral of the Late President Nelson Mandela. Being young and an activist does not include that you be disrespectful.

The Economic Freedom Front is soon headed for the scrap heap! Fast forward to last Thursday, February 12, 2015 and the EFF takes centre stage to embarrass the people of South Africa. Without intent to insult them, it is claimed by some that we evolved from apes. This does not mean we should go backwards and behave like what we evolved from as the EFF has shown.

Is this the leadership of the future South Africa? Is this what the youth represents? We should not lose hope - they (EFF), do not represent democracy at all in any of its varied formats just like skunks do not stop us from visiting the Kruger Park and its variety of animals. What a sad day for the republic. I guess the president will zoom in on the EFF and their disrespect. Shame on them and not the people of South Africa. As neighbours we offer our apologies to the people of South Africa.
