MBABANE – The family of the late former Miss Swaziland, Tiffany Sibongakonke Simelane, yesterday disclosed that there would be no funeral for the burial of the ex-beauty queen’s cremated remains.

Speaking to this newspaper, Tiffany’s uncle Bongani Eugene Zwane said as far as they were concerned, the cremation marked the end of the late beauty’s sending-off.

Zwane said the only thing that was left now was for the family to sit down and decide what to do with the ashes of the deceased. “There will be no funeral because we believe everything has been concluded.

Decide

The family is yet to sit down and decide what to do with the ashes, but that is a private matter,” Zwane said.
Zwane could not come out clearly on where the remains are at present except to state that they were at their final resting place. The 21-year-old Tiffany died early last week at the Mbabane Clinic where she had been admitted after allegedly swallowing poisonous tablets.

She was cremated on Saturday at the Dup’s Insurance Brokers and Funeral Administrators in Manzini after a memorial service at the Mater Dolorosa church.
Only family members and close relatives were allowed to attend the cremation. Her family said the cremation was what Tiffany had wanted.

It was later learnt that cremation was not a new thing to the Simelanes. Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Economic Planning and Development Sicelo Dlamini, who is Tiffany’s relative, told mourners that the former queen’s cremation had been agreed upon by the family.
