MBABANE – Former Mbabane Swallows striker Cheick Cisse’s future with Moroka Swallows is uncertain.

The Malian international striker has been ruled out of action for the next few weeks, after picking up an injury during training. The lanky striker was unfortunate in injuring his shoulder, while attempting to reach out for a high ball according to a story sourced from Soccer Laduma website.

The former Mbabane Swallows player is yet to play an official game for the Dube Birds this season and coach Zeca Marques confirmed that the player is expected to be on the sidelines for the next few weeks, while nursing the injury.

However, rumours making rounds are to the effect that the 24-year-old could be on his way out of the club at the end of the season. His contribution in the team has been minimal since he joined the side late in the 2011/12 season. Cisse’s height and physical presence impressed former Swallows coach, Gordon Igesund, however, his lack of game time is a cause for concern.

Players like Katlego Mashego and Lerato Chabangu are performing at the highest level while Cisse sits on the sidelines. Siyabonga Nomvethe’s return from injury could also add to Cisse’s woes.

Moroka Swallows have signed left-backs Lizo Mjempu and Giulio Giuricich who have been training with the club for some time.
