Black Rhino's too strong for Vondo's

MBABANE – The girls team from the Black Rhino’s rugby club in Manzini south proved too strong for the girls of the Vondo’s from Malkerns over the weekend. 

The two teams met in a club game played at the Vondo’s home ground in Malkerns. Both teams were evenly matched and the first half saw a clean scoresheet. The scoring deadlock was broken by the Rhino’s, who ran in a well worked try towards the end of the game, to win the match 5-0. 

Rugby Union head development coach, Mario De Sousa said he was very surprised when both sides decided to throw the ball around. “There were a lot less handling errors than we anticipated and full credit must go to the girls for their skills.  On the day and given the conditions it was a very good game of rugby and the players’ skills have greatly improved,” De Sousa said.
