3 549 votes recorded for Miss SD 09
MBABANE – A total of 3 549 votes for Miss Swaziland finalists 2009 have been made on Swaziland Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (SPTC) voting lines.
The lines were opened last month for the public to choose whom they felt deserved to win the national beauty contest, expected to be held next month. By Friday last week, finalist Thandeka Shabangu was the people’s favourite by virtue of her 978 votes. She was followed by Nompilo Mncina (with 691 votes), who was toppled early in the week.
Thandeka Mncadi, who joined the pageant for the second time, completed the top three with her 431 votes so far.
Thozama Vilakati and Bongekile Nkambule have acquired the least votes, with just only 51 and 30 votes respectively. SPTC charges E2 per vote.
