MBABANE – Swazi internati-onal Phinda ‘Phindrix’ Dlamini is unfazed by his South African club, SuperSport United’s failure to give him his signing-on-fee of E100 000, as he is satisfied with the E25 000 monthly salary he is currently earning.

Interviewed yeste-rday ahead of his team, University of Pretoria where he is on loan, epic first division league clash with Black Leopards, Dlamini said his main focus was on playing what he loved most – football and certainly not on money matters.

"That’s why I never saw even the story on the Kick-Off web-site, because I wasn’t even contacted and in any case, money matters are handled by my agent, ‘Tsotsi’ Mab-ila and my mother. In any case, I am supposed to get the signing on fee when I join SuperSport next seas-on," the soft-spoken former Zwicle starlet said.

payment

Kick-Off Magazine web-site reported yesterday that Dlamini would get his signing on fee next week Thursday when salary paym-ent is done.

He said all was well in his current team, ‘Tuks’, as he was paid well.

"I am happy with my E25 000 salary and I can’t complain because I am at school and at the same time I am playing football. The team is treating us well, and has many sponsors," he said.

The Sihlangu striker said in spite of the interest coming from top South African sides, Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs, his main wish was to play for SuperSport United.

"I feel at home at SuperSport and that’s why I had not problem when they loaned me out to Tukkies. There is not too much pressure here," he said matter-of-factly.

Asked how much they will be offered if they won the Nedbank Cup, where they have been termed ‘giant-killers’ and face Ajax Cape Town next Sunday at Milpark, Dlamini said the players would get to share half of the first prize money of E6 million, which is E3 million.

Each player will receive E150 000.

bonuses

"Even if we lose the semi finals, we will share E1 million and that excludes the other winning bonuses we have been offered for the league games," he said.

A loss to Ajax Cape Town in the semis of the Nedbank, will see the Sihlangu youthful striker take home E50 000.
