MBABANE – Africa Access Holdings League champions in-waiting Muchachas, need to collect maximum points against Buffaloes on Sunday to lift the title.

This is regardless of the result between Kappa Ladies and Wanderers. To rub salt into the wound, the defending champions’ match at 1pm will precede that of their arch-rivals Kappa against Wanderers at 3pm. Both games take place at the Casino Sports ground.

Despite being third now, Kappa Ladies still have a good chance of finishing as runners-up if they manage to win their three remaining games, starting with their game against Wanderers.

On Saturday at the Casino Sports ground, the league’s top goal scorer Fisiwe Hlophe will be aiming at reaching her half a century goal mark when Imbabatane face Mbekelweni at 1:30pm. Should she achieve that feat, Kappa’s Pretty Phiri, who is second, will have a momentous task to make it to the top.

Imbabatane will remain second if they win.

The league’s record breakers, Inter will be out in search of at least a point against Mhlume at KaLamgabhi sports ground at 2pm. Last week they managed to score only their second goal in more than five games.

Meanwhile, the other three players completing the top five in the top goal scorers’ chart are Sandra Mpofu, Nonhlanhla Shoulder and Imbabatane’s Nomvula Sanga is fifth.

With the completion of the league imminent, only three players have so far collected a maximum of two yellow cards. These are Mbekelweni’s Lomagugu Mamba, Wanderers’ Phetsile Matsebula and Kappa’s Simphiwe Simelane.
