Calling upon PM to help MUS College victims

Sir,

Kindly allow me space in your widely read newspaper to pass my concern to the Prime Minister Dr. Sibusiso Barnabas Dlamini.

As a former student of MUC College Services (PT) Ltd in Manzini, I would like to enquire from the premier if he knows that some ex-students have not yet received their June 2008 results. The reason I ask this question is that it seems, as if some civil servants (police) were bribed.

When I reported my matter to the Manzini Police Station and headquarters, no action was taken, they dragged their feet busy saying they cannot take action unless they are issued with the warrant of arrest or court order.

Mr PM, I cannot understand why didn’t they arrest him (Makhosi Simelane)? As a matter of fact now I am busy running up and down like a headless chicken looking for my results.

On the February 2, I went to SCOT and I was told to pay E2 000 in order to get my certificates. What worries me the most is that I paid the exam fee and how can it happen for me not to get what is due to me?

You should approach the MUC director. Problems started way back in 2008, the Ministry of Education did not listen to our grievances and you can see that there is something fishy. I personally went to Manzini Police Station on Feb-ruary 4 and again went to the Manzini Fraud Department and I was blatantly told that they couldn’t help.

I was expecting that the relevant stakeholders will work hand in hand with students but to my surprise, it’s just the opposite. Why must Makhosi get way with fraud and not be charged?

The thing is there is foul play somewhere, somehow, people have acquired degrees, masters, Phd., Bsc. and so on and they don’t care about our future.

The truth is action needs to be taken before it is too late. The director must be arrested and answer.

People have fulfilled their promises and this issue has been left hanging and unattended to for a long period.

The truth hurts but it sets one free from danger. If one potato in a big bag is rotten the fact is it should be removed before it contaminates the good ones.

I hope action will be taken and I sincerely ask from the Honourable Prime Minister to take action on these people who are destroying people’s future.

S S Mdluli, Manzini
