Swaziland to host SADC Soccer Masters

MBABANE - The SADC Soccer Masters for this year will be held in the country and will be hosted by Mbabane Real Social football club.

Real Masters Public Relations Officer Sparks Zulu disclosed that this year tournament would feature 12 teams from BOLESWA and South African and have already confirmed their participation.

"Other countries like Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia and Zambia have still not confirmed. Swaziland will be represented by two social teams which are Real Masters and Manzini Social FC," he said.

The games which were last played in Lesotho will be played over the weekend starting at 9 am on Saturday ending on Sunday and will be held at Mhlambanyatsi Sports ground and Waterford Sports ground.

Zulu said the semi-finals and finals of the tournament would be held at the Prince of Wales stadium on Sunday.

Zulu further disclosed that former South African soccer players like Phi Tsotesi, Pollen Ndlanya, and Earnest Rambo Marumo would be playing for Soweto Keep Fit while Conti Kubheka former Vaal Professionals would feature for Sediberg Masters.

"Swaziland on the other hand have players like Ace Jele, Puma Matsebula, Musa Masuku all former Mbabane Highlanders players to name a few. This is an annual tournament which comprise of SADC retired professional players.

Teams that are expected to participate in this tournament according Zulu include amongst others Gaborone City Rollers, Lobatse Omoale, Soweto Keep Fit, Kloof Masters, Driefontein Masters, Elldorando Masters and Ratanang Masters. He said anyone wishing to contribute can contact him on 603 0191.
