MBABANE – MTN Premier League defending champions Young Buffaloes’ coach Zenzele ‘Ace’ Dlamini has conceded he got Mbabane Swallows’ boss Victor ‘Maradona’ Gamedze’s blessing to rejoin Young Buffaloes.

Interviewed on national radio during Monday’s morning’s sports show, he said leaving Swallows was unexpected but he was pleased to say that at least, the red and white outfit understood the situation.

"I’m very happy I was with Swallows and know that I’ll always have a home with them. I was very impressed with the way the club boss Victor Gamedze treated the whole matter and even gave me his blessing," he said.

He said Gamedze understood it was not his own doing but the job that called upon him to rejoin the club he led to their first ever major trophy last season as they won the MTN Premier League to rewrite history.

Asked to explain the order that instructed him back to Buffaloes as head coach, he said it was unfortunate that Buffaloes were an army team whereby things are done according to strict codes that have to be followed always. "Even if I could try to explain, it is something that some people would not understand. The army works in a different way that has laid down procedures and very strict codes, you don’t just go talking anyhow," he said. Meanwhile, he said while he takes over the team in a bad position, he was certain that with him back, they will come up with a way to get their strength back and compete for honours but that would all come from his programme for the reigning champions.
