Inter Stars WSL Construction League champs

The presentation was held at the National Football Association of Swaziland’s (NFAS) offices. The team won the league that comprised of 16 teams with 64 points while runners up Red Stars finished the league with 61 points. Inter Stars received E400 for winning the league while Red Stars received E300 plus silver medals for being runners up.

The league was sponsored to the tune of E2 000. WSL Construction representative Phillip ‘Big Daddy’ Dlamini said the company is willing to continue sponsoring the league. He said the reason behind this was the behaviour shown by the teams during the course of the league. "The teams behaved the whole season and the sponsor had indicated that it is interested in continuing sponsoring the league. We would also like to congratulate the winners. They worked hard for their achievement and now it is their time to celebrate," he said.

Representing the Municipal Council of Mbabane was ward 11 councilor James Ncongwane who urged the team’s executive responsible for the games to appr-oach the council for infrastr-ucture. He said their mission was to provide a good environment for people living in the city.

"It is the council’s dream to see all the sports ground having toilets. Also there are sports ground that are being worn out and it is our duty to make sure that every sports ground stays in good condition," he said.
